Until 1968, aboriginal people, the Orang Seletar and Orang Kallang, lived in Singapore until a dam across the Seletar River flooded out their lands and dispersed them helter-skelter along with the forest animals. Few in Singapore know about this tragedy. Fewer still are aware that aboriginals actually lived on that island and called it home. This a story about the Seletar people who lived in boats.
