Summer reading theme in 2024 was Fantasy Fiction to coincide with the bicentenary celebration of George MacDonald. He was often referred to as the founding father of fantasy fiction. George was born and lived in Huntly, Aberdeenshire and influenced well-known authors such as CS Lewis and Tolkien.
